Champagne is Only the Beginning …

Champagne on Tap is Only the Beginning of The Homy Inn’s Charm

Welcome to The Homy Inn, a laid-back neighborhood bar located at 1510 N. Saddle Creek Rd. in Omaha, Nebraska.

Established in 1956, our humble establishment has earned the reputation of being a local landmark, thanks in part to our signature “Champagne on Tap” and old-school collection of memorabilia.

We offer 25 varieties of microbrews, domestic brews and import brews on tap such as Blue Moon and Guinness along with over 100 different types of bottled beer.

Coupled with our famous peanuts served in a dog dish, it’s your home away from home where you can kick back, watch the game and catch up with friends.

Decorated with vintage I Like Ike political pins, Elvis collectables and Jim Beam Decanter bottles from the 60’s and 70’s, The Homy Inn is loaded with conversation starters.

Hungry? The famous Sgt. Peffer’s Italian Restaurant sits across the street and delivers the entire menu.

Whether you’re fresh off the construction site or coming straight from the boardroom, or just need a break from the college classroom, you are welcome to come hang out at The Homy Inn- just leave the tie at home.

Homy Inn Named Top 50 in US

In 2006, Esquire Magazine named The Homy Inn one of the Top 50 Bars in the United States.  Esquire touts “the vintage tap handles, the I LIKE IKE! buttons, and the rare baseball cards that adorn the intimate Homy Inn are just quaint foreplay for this fifty-year-old bar’s main attraction: bubbly on tap. Available by the flute or the pitcher.”

With an incredible management team that includes bartender Beth Reilly, assistant manager Sean O’Malley and owner/manager Terry Finkle, it’s a well-oiled machine. Plus, if you run a $100 tab, you get a free T-shirt. What’s not to love?

We’re Always Open

We always have a nice, cold glass of your favorite drink ready for you.  Open 7 days a week, Friday and Saturday nights are extra fun with the tables packed and the bubbly  flowing. The Homy Inn has survived over six decades because it’s genuine. It’s the type of “dive bar” where you can sit back and relax while the impeccable service and cozy ambience speaks for itself.

Get that “Homey” feeling

Rare baseball cards, Beatles memorabilia and vintage newspapers line the walls of the quaint establishment. Originally named “The Homey Inn,” the name was shortened to “Homy” after all the letters wouldn’t fit on the original sign, but the name still serves its purpose of exuding a warm, homey feeling.
